I have a few comments to add about our meeting with Bruce. I think Pam described Bruce and Susan to a "T". What more can I say about them that she hasn't already covered. They were an absolute delight to meet.

When we first met and were wisiting with him in the lobby, I just stood and stared afraid to say anything. Then he turned to me and said "I hear you cut me up". I indicated first that I didn't know what he was talking about then started to laugh. My daughter had surprised me with a cake with his picture transposed on it for my birthday last year. I asked him how he found out and he said "I have my ways" or something like that in his subtle way. I found out later that Barb had whispered to him about the cake and told him to tease me about it. Perhaps some of you have seen it as Pam put the picture of it some place on the website. After that I was able to relax a little. I later mentioned that I was heading for Portland the next day and he said to say "Hello" which I did. (I think we all know he enjoyed his year here in Portland filming NWM) I did mention I was going on to Wisconsin from here and I also got kidded a little about Wisconsin and my accent. I never realized I had one.

He was so delightful and charming and made us feel so at ease. It was a plus to meet Susan also. She is such a lovely person and it was nice to chat with her too. BTW, I had her sign her name under Bruce's.

I can't even begin to find the words to tell you how much this meant to me. Can you imagine he was thanking us for coming. What an absolute gorgeous, thoughtful man he is. Needless to say, this made my Christmas. I can't say enough good things about him. Little did we know that when we first talked about going to the premiere this would happen. We were just hoping to sit outside with a sign or something and hope to catch a glimpse of him walking in. When we left we were all on "Cloud Nine". I do have pictures though to remind me that this really happened.

Just one comment on the movie. I really enjoyed it as I remember the time vividly. However, I never realized how close we came. I had always liked JFK and Bruce was just so great in the role. And to me the resemblance is uncanny. It was very stirring for me.
