NEW SHOW REVUE!
SLEEPWALKERS
Saturdays at 9:00pm on NBC
Season Premiere: Nov. 1st
Dr. Nathan Bradford (Bruce Greenwood) is a neuropsychologist dedicated to the study of dreams, a once uncharted territory that is about to be explored in Sleepwalkers, the new NBC series from NBC Studios in association with Columbia TriStar Television. Nathan and his top-notch team of psychologists and sleep researchers represent a new generation of heroes who enter the sleeping minds of others in an effort to uncover the mysteries which haunt their sleeping hours but which have a profound psychological and physiological effect on their waking lives as well.
When Nathan's wife lapsed into a coma two years ago following a car accident, additional fuel was added to the fire which burned within Nathan to find a way to communicate with the unconscious mind. At the Morpheus Institute, Nathan and his small but dedicated team of professionals developed a technique which allows them, through the syncing of brainwave function, to enter the dream of the patient. The goal is, very simply, therapy -- allowing the dreamer to view his experiences in a new light, to free him of the nightmares that hold his waking life hostage.

NBC Press Release #2:
Ever wonder what your dreams mean? This journey into the dream world
combines the action and suspense of never knowing when reality ends and
begins, and provides viewers a thrilling assault on all senses. A unique
hour, directed by David Nutter (The X-Files, Millennium),
Sleepwalkers travels to the worlds that exist only in your wildest,
sometimes deadliest, dreams.
The last hope for those plagued by their nocturnal world is a place called
The Morpheus
Institute. Founded by top neurophysiologist Nathan Bradford, the Institute
allows members of its elite staff to enter other people's dream worlds -
and help combat their demons. More often than not, the lines between
reality and dream are dangerously blurred.
The head dream interpreter/psychologist, Kate Russel, tries to find the
significant link
between the conscious and the subconscious. Steve Turner, cofounder of the
Institute,
specializes in pushing the envelope, staying in the dream world longer and
longer each time. The newest recruit is Ben Costigan - a former patient,
and former fighter pilot, who's not afraid of risk. Which is fortunate
because, in the dream world, if Steve, Ben or
Kate get hurt, the injury translates into the real world. Offering
technical support is Vincent Konefke - an emotional computer expert.
Together, the team confronts the problems of strangers - in a place where
nothing is as it
seems, and anything imaginable is possible.

NBC Press Release #3
Bruce Greenwood (St. Elsewhere, Nowhere Man) headlines an ensemble cast in this one-hour "thrillogy" drama as Dr. Nathan Bradford, a neurophysiologist and founder of the Morpheus Institute, a cutting-edge research facility dedicated to the study of dreams and their mysterious link to the waking world.
Bradford’s driving motivation is his heartrending desire to communicate with his comatose wife, Gail (Kathrin Nicholson, A Twist of Fate), whom he can only talk to in their shared dreams. With his fellow scientists, Bradford has created the technology to enter his patients’ dreams to help them resolve subconscious issues that manifest themselves as recurring nightmares, ones which can have potentially deadly waking-world implications.
