In honor of Bruce Greenwood's 50th birthday, the BG Online Fan List wanted to present him with something special that would still be a "comfortable" gift for him. We finally decided on a generous donation to his favorite charity, one for which I knew he had a special affinity - The Unusual Suspects, a theater project that serves as a training ground for inner city kids who might not be otherwise aware of these opportunities. Bruce has been involved with the group for many years, since an old co-star -- Laura Lee Hughes -- was the guiding light behind its inception. The photos above were presented to us by Bruce himself and both were taken by his wife Susan. On the left Bruce is shown opening the gift and holding up the plaque from The Unusual Suspects. Also in the package was a program from a recent production signed with best birthday wishes from all the young thespians and an Unusual Suspects cap - and, of course, many cards! The photo on the right was sent to each contributor along with a personal note from Bruce. Our card to Bruce is shown below:
